Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa requested the Speaker today to allow Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake to attend Parliamentary proceedings.
Premadasa said based on a directive made by the Court of Appeal to the Parliamentary Secretary General he said that the Speaker could decide on the matter. He also said hat there is precedence created by allowing Premalal Jayasekara to attend Parliament following his conviction in the High Court for murder.
