Security at Colombo, Kelaniya, and Jayewardenapura universities stepped up

Security around Kelaniya, Colombo, and Sri Jayawardenapura universities is to be stepped up to protect the students on the instructions of Public Security Minister Tiran Alles.

The directive to increase security was issued to the Inspector General of Police, C.D. Wickremaratne, following discussions with the authorities of the three universities on three consecutive days.
