At least seventeen people have died in the current inclement weather, while over 270,000 people in ten districts have been affected.
According to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) people, in
Gampaha, Rathnapura, Colombo, Puttalam, Kaluthara, Nuwara-Eliya, Kegalle, Kandy, Kurunegala and Galle districts have been affected.
