Shani released by the Gampaha High Court.

The Gampaha High Court has ordered the release of Former CID Director SSP Shani Abeysekara on bail.

This is following the decision made by the Court of Appeal yesterday releasing him on bail.

He could not be released yesterday since the Gampaha High Court did not receive the order on time.

Gampaha High Court judge remanded SSP Abeysekara in December 2020.
