Six more people who attended event organizer Chandimal Jayasinghe’s birthday party held at the Shangri -La Hotel in Colombo on Sundayhave been arrested and later released on bail by a Magistrate.
They were arrested for having violated quarantine regulations and hosting a birthday party when the country was under a virtual lockdown.
Police said one more suspect is evading arrest and measures taken to apprehend the suspect.
Earlier, Chandimal and model Piumi Hansamali were arrested on the same charge but they were later released on a personal bail of Rs. 1 million each.
