A Cessna 150 training aircraft of the Sri Lanka Air Force made an emergency landing in an area near the Nilaveli beach in Trincomalee due to a technical fault.

The aircraft had taken off from the China Bay air force base in Trincomalee at around 10.22 this morning and made an emergency landing a few minutes later.

The two pilots are safe and, the Air Force authorities are investigating the incident.
