Solar power for House of Parliament

The government is contemplating installing a floating solar power plant in Diyawanna Lake to supply necessary and adequate power to the House of Parliament. According to informed sources, a feasibility study is underway to construct a plant with a capacity of 1.5 MW to meet the daily requirements of the Parliamentary complex. The government of India will provide a loan for the construction of the power plant.
