Speaker appoints committee to probe incidents in Parliament.

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has appointed a seven-member Parliamentary Committee to look into the incidents that took place on Wednesday within the precincts of the Parliamentary complex. Meanwhile, Government Parliamentarian Tissakuttiarchchi had complained to the Welikada Police against MP Harin Fernando for assault near the entrance of the Parliamentary Complex. MP Harin Fernando is presently receiving treatment at a private hospital and was visited by Party Leader Sajit Premadasa.
