Special permits to import Palm Oil amid ban

Restricted volumes of Palm Oil imports will be allowed amid a total ban imposed, Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardene told Parliament. He said this is to facilitate confectionaries, biscuit manufacturers and people involved in other bakery products. The Minister said the government is to allow imports under a special license.
