Sri Lankan Airlines is to finalise its plans to fly to Kolkata in the East Indian sector in its quest to restructure the airline’s flight plans and to attract more tourists from Bengal.
Flights from Kolkata to Colombo will begin soon. However, the dates have not been finalised yet.
Beginning in 2017, the airline continued with three flights per week until March 2020, when the COVID pandemic disrupted the air travel of the vast majority of people.
Sri Lankan Airlines has connected with nine major cities in India out of the eleven cities it operated before the COVID pandemic.
