One of Sri Lanka’s illustrious cricketers and first test Cricket Captain Bandual Warnapura passed away, this morning at a private hospital in Colombo.
He was 68. An old boy of Nalanda College, he excelled in cricket from his younger days.
He was admitted to a private hospital a few days ago following heart complications.
Late Banduala Warnapura played in 4 Test matches and 12 One-Day Internationals during his international cricketing career from 1975 to 1982.
