Another sub-lineage of the Delta variant of the Covid 19 virus has been detected in Sri Lanka.

According to the Allergy, immunology, and Cell Biology Unit of the Sri Jayewrdenepura University, the sub-lineage is known to be 
B. 1.617.2.104.
