A number of technical issues have forced the Sri Lankan airlines to cancel a number of flights over the past few days.

The airline said every effort was made to accommodate passengers on alternative flights to avert inconvenience.

SriLankan Airlines said in a statement that these were routine issues, and aircraft maintenance follows very strict procedures that necessitate repairs or replacement of parts before the aircraft are cleared for flying.
