Earlier this year in Kandy, anti-Muslim riots were sparked off following an accident which involved Sinhala and Muslim drivers. It takes just a little bit of prodding to spark race riots, yet we turn a blind eye to the many other atrocities such as rape and paedophilia, especially if the perpetrator is not from a minority community.
