Police today said that a friend of the Danish woman, believed to have fallen from the top of the mountain while climbing Alagalakanda, has informed the police that she can identify her body.
The police are to refer her body to a post-mortem examination after her body was identified by her friend (17). When the body of this Danish woman was found at the foot of the mountain on Friday, it had already decomposed. Police suspect that this death probably occurred on July 10, the day she had left the Kandy hotel to climb the mountain.
