Two day debate on President’s policy statement

The party leaders have agreed have for a two-day debate on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s policy statement on January 18, 2022 after the government leaders declined to allow the three debate asked by the opposition Accordingly, an adjournment debate would be held on January 19 and 20. Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella and UNP MP Ranil Wickremesinghe had requested a debate on the speech which will be made by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on January 18 following the ceremonial opening of Parliament.
