Umara sincerely apologises if someone is hurt because of her rendition of the national anthem

Popular Singer Umara Sinhawansa extended her heartfelt and sincere apology to anyone who may have been affected or offended by her rendition of the national anthem at the inauguration of LPL 2023 on Sunday.
Sinhawansa, while acknowledging the significance of the National anthem and the emotions it holds for Sri Lankans, said that she had no intention whatsoever to distort the words of the national anthem or misrepresent any sentiments.
She expressed her deep love and pride for her Motherland and stated that she has always strived to uplift the image of her country in various ways, including through her singing.
