Singapore is “not pro-anyone or anti-anyone; we are only pro-Singapore”, says Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. He sits down with The Straits Times’ Lynlee Foo to discuss global challenges such as US-China tensions and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and what they mean for Singapore. This comes after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in his English National Day Rally speech on Aug 21 that Singapore’s external environment has become very troubled.
