Water tariffs have been increased by 30% or 50% with effect from midnight yesterday, NWS&DB sources said.
The relevant Gazette Notification had been sent to the Government Printer by yesterday evening.
However, NWS&DB sources said that low-income families will not be affected by the tariff hike.
