The government should take immediate steps to control the delta variant before it goes out of hand, says Dr Chandima Jeevandara of the Sri Jayewarenepura University. According to research, it is still in its initial stages and has not spread to the provinces yet. Hence the government is in a position to avert a major catastrophe through timely action, Dr Jeevandara has reportedly said

Even if an individual, adheres to all precautions.it takes only a few seconds for the virus to infect an individual he has said.
