Medical experts express concerns over the use of Ivermectin in Covid 19 patients.

Fourteen Medical experts have expressed their reservation in the use of Ivermectin for Covid 19 patients
In a letter addressed to the Director-General of Health Services the medical experts have said there is insufficient evidence to recommend for or against the use of Ivermectin,Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ),Vitamin D,Zinc and Vitamin C for Covid 19 patients in a clinical guideline at present.
If any clinician is using Ivermectin, it is strongly suggested to document the indication, disease status, side effects, outcomes, and any other relevant details for each patient.
There is also no evidence to recommend the use of any of the above medicines as prophylaxis for Covid 19
The expert committee members are,Dr Ananda Wijewickrama,Prof. Chandani Wanigatunga,Dr.HarshaSathischandra,Dr. Anoma Perera,Dr Shirani Chandrasisr,DrChanna Perera, Dr Upul Dissanaanyake, Dr Indika Lanerole,Dr. Bandu Gunasena,Dr Mahendra,Dr Ajit Tennekoon, Dr MalikkaKarunaratne,Dr Hasitha Tissera, and Dr Azhar Ghouse.
