A 21-year-old girl admitted with a history of a stomach ailment died after administering two injections at the Peradeniya teaching hospital.

A 21-year-old girl who was admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital on July 11 following a stomach ailment has died shortly after being administered an injection.
The deceased is a resident of Alagalla, Pothtapitiya.
She was initially admitted to Katapitiya Hospital on July 10 due to a stomachache and was transferred to Peradeniya Hospital with her mother in an ambulance the next day.
The girl was admitted to the emergency unit at around 9:00 in the morning and was referred to Ward Seven at around 12:30 in the afternoon.
The girl's mother, Maya Indrani, said that her child turned blue once and died after being given two injections by a nurse while being treated there.
