Attorney General Dappula Livera has sent a long letter to the Inspector General of Police C.D. Wickramaratne in respect of the investigations into the Easter Sunday attack.

The AG has asked the IGP to submit excerpts of the investigations into five suspects while naming 42 suspects as A group suspects arrested over the Easter Sunday attack.

The Attorney General has reportedly said that due to improper investigations, it may not be possible to prosecute the suspects of the Easter Sunday Attack during his tenure.

The Attorney General is due to retire shortly.

Meanwhile the Minister In charge of Law and Order has requested the CID to submit a report based on the claims made by the Attorney General that he was unable to take action regarding the suspects during his tenure as the AG.
