AG request Trial-at-Bar to try Ravi and nine others for second bond scam

Attorney General Dappula de Livera has requested the Chief Justice to appoint a trial-at-Bar to try former Minister Ravi Karunanayake, former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran and nine others in connection with the second Central Bank bond issue took place in March 29, 2016.
The Attorney General is expecting to file indictments against ten accused including Ex Minister Ravi Karunanayake, former CB Governor Lakshman Arjuna Mahendran, PTL beneficiaries owner Arjun Joseph Aloysius, Palisena Appuhamilage Don Kasun Oshada Palisena and , Badugoda Hewa Indika Saman Kumara in connection with the alleged scam.
