More areas may come under a lockdown

Army Commander Shavendra De Silva warned that more areas could come under a purported lockdown if the number of Covid patients increases. He also said that considering the current situation, it would be prudent for households to store some essential food items to face such a situation without encountering problems. However, he ruled out a complete lockdown but said it depends on the number of patients detected. Meanwhile, the government assured that there are ample Oxygen supplies to the hospitals without a shortage. .
