Bathiudeen not allowed to show up in Parliament

Authorities have failed to allow Former Minister Rishard Bathiudeen to participate in Parliamentary proceedings.
Chief opposition Whip brought this to the attention of the Speaker. The Speaker, in turn, promised to look into the matter. The authorities have taken up the position that the written communication of Sergeant-at-Arms of Parliament is unacceptable. It is only with the Speaker's signature they would be able to allow Bathiudeen to participate in Parliamentary proceedings.
SJB Parliamentarian Mujibar Rahaman pointed out that the authorities have taken up contradictory positions regarding the matter. Earlier it was the signature, and now they say that a CID officer investigating the case infected with Covid 19
