The case against Sakvithi is fixed for trial by the Colombo High Court

The case against Sakvithi Ranasinghe and his wife for committing a criminal breach of trust with regard to Rs. 1,628 million worth of funds of the depositors at Sakvithi Housing and Construction (Pvt.) Ltd. was today fixed for trial by the Colombo High Court.
The case was postponed for trial to be heard on July 6 since the permanent High Court Judge was on leave today.
The Attorney General (AG) had filed indictments against Sakvithi Ranasinghe and Kumari Anuradhani for committing a criminal breach of trust with regard to Rs. 1,628 million worth of funds of the depositors at Sakvithi Housing and Construction (Pvt.) Ltd. between 2006 and 2008. On a previous occasion, the indictments against ten other directors of Sakvithi Housing and Construction (Pvt.) Ltd. were withdrawn by the Attorney General.
