Catholic Bishops’ Conference expresses its concern over the erosion of democratic principles and values
November 03, 2021

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference has expressed its deep concern about the erosion of democratic principles and values in the country.
The Bishops’ conference has alleged that the formulation of new constitution is put on the backburner despite the promise made by the President and the government before and after the elections and instead adopted an unholy 20thamendment to the constitution and exploited it beyond it’s limit to the detriment of the wellbeing of the country.
The Bishops’ Conference said that though they do not oppose the concept ‘One Country One Law’ the appointment of a Task Force by from outside without any reference to the legislature is unacceptable.
