Covid deaths surpass 200 per day

Sri Lanka recorded the highest number of deaths per day owing to the raging Covid 19 pandemic. The Director-General of Health Services said the number of deaths recorded on the 25 of August was 209.  According to Health authorities, this is the highest number of deaths recorded within a day since the first Covid patient was detected in the Country last year.
