Customs officials this morning arrested Puttalam district parliamentarian Ali Sabry Raheem with gold biscuits weighing over 3 kilograms at the VIP lounge of the Bandaranaike International Airport.
The MP had arrived at the airport from Dubai. Customs sources said this racket has been going on for years, and the value of the gold biscuits exceeds Rs 705 million.
