The debt optimisation resolution will be debated on Saturday

The Parliamentary Business Committee today decided to debate the Resolution for the implementation of the Domestic Debt optimisation only on Saturday.

Secretary General of Parliament, Kushani Rohanadeera, said that it was decided at the Committee held today (30) afternoon under the chairmanship of speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, to debate the Resolution for the implementation of the Domestic Debt optimisation to restore sovereign debt sustainability only on Saturday.

Accordingly, the resolution will be debated tomorrow (01) from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm, and if a If a division is requested, it will be held at 7.30 p.m. Prime Minister. Dinesh Gunawadena was also present at this meeting.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General said that it had been decided not to hold parliamentary sittings.on the fourth Tuesday. Accordingly, Parliament is scheduled to meet on the5, 6, and 7 of next week.
