President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the debt restructuring programme will be presented to Parliament this weekend for approval. Wickremesinghe made this observation in an interview with France24: The debt restructuring programme will be presented to the Cabinet on Wednesday and the Public Finance Committee on Friday for approval before being presented to parliament. The President also stated that Sri Lanka had qualified for financial assistance from the World Bank.
“We have fulfilled all benchmarks,”, the President emphasized.
