Expressways earn Rs. 124.57 million in two days

Sri Lanka’s expressways generated Rs. 124.57 million in revenue from 325,316 vehicles over August 26 and 27, according to the latest revenue figures.

On August 26, a total of 163,763 vehicles used the E01, E02, E03 and E04 expressways, generating Rs. 60.41 million in revenue.

The E01 and E02 sections accounted for the highest traffic, with 97,149 vehicles generating Rs. 35.61 million. The E03 recorded 45,942 vehicles and Rs. 18.90 million, while 20,672 vehicles used the E04, generating Rs. 5.90 million.

Traffic remained high the following day, with 161,553 vehicles using the expressways and generating Rs. 64.16 million—Rs. 3.75 million more than the previous day.

The E01 and E02 sections recorded 102,027 vehicles and Rs. 41.14 million in revenue, while the E03 recorded 35,004 vehicles and Rs. 15.99 million. The E04 recorded 24,522 vehicles and Rs. 7.03 million.

The two-day total stood at 325,316 vehicles, generating Rs. 124,574,925 in revenue.
