Police today arrested a father in Avissawella who allegedly dashed his three-year-old son on the ground. The suspect later consumed poison. The suspect and the child have been admitted to the Avissawella Base Hospital with the help of residents.
Police had arrested the suspect when he tried to escape from the hospital after receiving preliminary treatment. The child has been transferred to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo after he complained about bleeding from his ears.
