Since August 1, the use of fingerprint machines has been made compulsory for officers of the Medical Administration Service of the Health Ministry and other executive-grade officers to record their daily arrival and departure.

Ministry Additional Secretary Geethamani C. Karunaratne has issued a circular to all heads of departments in the Ministry in this respect.

Accordingly, the fingerprint machine must be used to record the daily attendance of the officers of the Medical Administration Service of the Ministry of Health who receive additional duty allowances and other executive-grade officers.
