The former mayor of Dehiwalal-Mt. Lavina was arrested for abusing the municipal commissioner.Mount Lavinia Police today arrested former mayor Nawalage Stanley Dias for obstructing the duties of the Dehiwala Mount Lavinia Municipal Commissioner.
Commissioner Chandana Krishantha Kumara Mannapperuma had been travelling in his car at Attidiya when the former mayor stopped the car and abused him. Based on a complaint made about this, the former mayor had been arrested.
