Former President Maithripala Sirisena held discussions with several politicians of the Tamil National Alliance, including the leader of the Ilankei Tamil Arusu Katchi Mavei Senadhirajah.
The discussion focused on obtaining the support of Tamil political parties, including the Tamil National Alliance and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, in the upcoming elections.
ITAK leader and former MP Mawei Senadhiraja said that the Tamil parties will support a party that solves the issues of Tamil people in the North and the East. “We give our support to a party that is determined to give a political solution to our issues”, he said.
