A gazette has been issued to effect an amendment to the LG ordinance enabling the minister to reconvene dissolved councils. A gazette has been issued to amend the Local Government Ordinance to empower the minister in charge of the subject to reconvene dissolved local councils in the event the authorities are unable to hold elections due to an unforeseen reason or a crisis which prevents the government from holding elections to elect new councils.
