The helicopter carrying Bipin Rawat, his wife, and other senior officers crashed near Ooty on Wednesday.

Earlier today, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the incident. According to sources, Singh will brief Parliament on the incident tomorrow.

Indian Army Chief General M.M Naravanebriefed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh about the chopper crash that carried General RawatChief of Defence Staff (CDS).

Rajnath Singh visited the residence of CDS Rawat in New Delhi as did the Army Chief.

Rajnath Singh has briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government will issue a statement in Parliament on December 9

The Indian Air Force has issued the list of names of the persons who were on board apart from General Rawat and his wife MadhlikaRawat.
