Government dragging its feet on the political victimization report

The Opposition said today the government has failed so far to table the Presidential Commission report on political victimization, in Parliament.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya Leader and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told reporters that several requests the Government has refused to publicize the report.
The final report by the Presidential Commission of inquiry appointed to probe incidents of political victimization has been handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Mr Premadasa said the Government has refused to table the report in Parliament despite repeated requests by the Opposition and is also refusing to allocate a date to debate the matter in Parliament.
