The government had miserably failed to protect the people in the face of the rapidly spreading Covid 19 virus SJB General Secretary RanjitMadduma Bandara Said. Addressing the media at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, he said the government has gone down to the level of asking the people to seek divine protection to save their lives. He said the government deliberately ignored the advice of the medical experts and carrying on regardless of the lives of the people. “The government should decide whether it is the people or the economy that they treasure “he added The government ruined the economy by giving tax concessions to their cronies and now indulging in ruining the lives of the people he said.
