Government to vaccinate 60%-70% of people by the end of the year.

The government plans to vaccinate 60 % - 70% of the population by the end of this year. Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal tabled by the Minister of Health to take the necessary steps to purchase 14 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine from the Chinese manufacturer and 1 million doses of Astrazeneca vaccine. The government had noted that the only way out of the present crisis is the inoculation of the people. Hence the government is making an urgent bid to purchase both Sinopharm and Astrazennica vaccines.
