Attorney General today filed two separate cases against Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and former Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasunderfa in connection with the Easter Sunday attack in 2019.
These cases will be heard by two separate trials at-bar appointed by the Chief Justice.
The Attorney General had indicted the two accused on 800 counts, which include murder, attempted murder and for their serious lapses and grave omission to prevent the Easter Sunday attack.
