The independent group in Parliament comprising mainly the SLPP, SLFP and other constituent parties have decided to extend their support to the No-confidence Motion mooted by the opposition SJB.
Earlier, the independent group queried the SJB about the next step after the NCM. However, a spokesman from the independent group representing nearly forty Parliamentarians said today that they have decided to support the NCM unconditionally.
