Independent group to support NCM against the government

The independent group in Parliament comprising mainly the SLPP, SLFP and other constituent parties have decided to extend their support to the No-confidence Motion mooted by the opposition SJB. Earlier, the independent group queried the SJB about the next step after the NCM. However, a spokesman from the independent group representing nearly forty Parliamentarians said today that they have decided to support the NCM unconditionally.
