Police have arrested one person in connection with a burglary that took place at the residence of Justice Sobitha Rajakaruna in Urapola, in the Attanaglla area.
The Police said the burglar had spirited away gold worth 750,000 rupees and cash worth 600,000 rupees.
The Attanagalla police are inquiring into the matter. At the time of the burglary, only the domestic aides were at home, while the others were away.
The police are grilling the person already in custody to ascertain how the burglary took place.
