Karu tells the government to declare a state of emergency

  Former Speaker and the Convener of the Just Society Karu Jayasuriya has urged the government to declare a state of national emergency to deal with the fast-spreading  Covid 19 pandemic. He has proposed to set up a council comprising, representatives of all political parties, Scientists, Medical Specialists and Sociologists to formulate a method to contain the deadly pandemic before it gets out of hand.
