The Election Commission has appointed Manju Lalith Warnakumara of the Kalutara District to fill the vacancy created following the resignation of Mahinda Samarasinghe.The Gazette appointing Lalith Warnakumara is due to be issued today.
Mahinda Samarasinghe resigned from Parliament to proceed to the USA as the ambassador to the US and Mexico.
