Lanka steps up aid for nationals hit by Nepal floods

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism has announced arrangements to provide emergency assistance, coordination and necessary support to Sri Lankan nationals affected by the flash floods in Nepal.
Sri Lankan nationals requiring emergency assistance have been advised to contact the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu through its 24-hour emergency hotline on +977 985 104 8653 or by email at slemb.kathmandu@mfa.gov.lk.
For information and updates concerning Sri Lankan nationals in Nepal, the Ministry has also provided the contact details of Director General of Public Diplomacy and Spokesperson Thushara Rodrigo.

The Ministry has urged Sri Lankan nationals in Nepal to exercise caution and closely monitor official updates as rescue and relief operations continue amid the ongoing flood situation.
