Leave me alone Vimukthi tells Sri Lankan media

Dr Vimukthi Kumaratunga, the son of former President Chandrika Kumaratunga and veteran film personality turned politician VijayaKumaratunga categorically denied recent media reports that he would enter into Sri Lankan politics.
In his press release, issued VimukthiKumaratunga stated that he has no intention whatsoever of engaging in Sri Lankan Politics.
The press release issued by VimukthiKumaratunga had been shared on former President Chandrika Kumaratunga's official Facebook page.
I would like to completely disassociate myself from these reports. For the last twenty-one years, I have been and continue to be committed to my work as a veterinarian and my ongoing specialist training as a veterinary ophthalmologist in the United Kingdom. I love my country of birth. I hope to raise awareness and champion, in my personal capacity, the many causes in Sri Lanka that I hold dear. I would like to clearly state that I have no intention whatsoever of engaging in Sri Lankan Politics. Therefore, I appeal to everyone to disregard any statement alleging my aspirations to become a Sri Lankan politician, Vimukthiadded.
Finally, Vimukthi pleads Sri Lankan media and the public to respect his privacy as he has striven hard to carve out a dignified and private life of himself.
